Privacy policy

The short version: LetsReview does not ask who you are. There is no sign-up, no password, and nowhere for us to send your information — because we do not run a server at all. Your answers and your progress sit on your phone, and that is the end of it. The only exception is the obvious one: if you email us, we can see your email.

Who we are

LetsReview is a study app for the Licensure Examination for Teachers, on iOS and on Android. It is independent — we are not the Professional Regulation Commission, not the Board for Professional Teachers, and not connected to either. This policy covers the app and this website.

What we ask you for

Nothing. The app never asks for your name, your email, your number or your birthday, and there is no account to make. It does not ask to see your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, location or files, because it has no use for any of them.

There are no ads in the app, and nothing inside it tracks what you tap or reports your usage back to us. We genuinely do not know how you are doing — only your phone does.

What stays on your phone

For the app to be useful, it has to remember a few things. All of it stays on your device:

  • The questions themselves, which come with the app.
  • Which ones you have answered, and whether you got them right.
  • Any questions you saved to come back to.
  • Your practice exam results.
  • Whether you are taking the Elementary or Secondary LET, and your major if you are taking Secondary.
  • Your exam date and daily reminder, if you set them.
  • Whether you have unlocked Pro.

None of this reaches us. We could not look at your scores if we wanted to — there is nowhere for them to go.

One thing worth knowing, because it is out of our hands: if you have turned on your phone’s own backup — iCloud Backup on iPhone, or Google One on Android — then your phone may include this app’s data in that backup. That copy lives with Apple or Google under their rules, not ours. You can switch off backup for LetsReview in your phone settings if you would rather it did not.

If you email us

This is the one place where we end up with something personal about you, so it is worth being clear. If you write in — to report a problem, or to tell us a question looks wrong — we see your email address and whatever you put in the message.

We use it to write back, and for nothing else. We will not add you to a mailing list and we will not pass your address to anybody. Ask us to delete the email and we will.

Paying for Pro

Pro is a single payment, handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your card number or your billing address — the app is simply told that a purchase went through, and it remembers that on your phone. Apple and Google keep the receipt, under their own privacy rules.

When the app goes online

Reviewing is completely offline. The app only reaches the internet to:

  • buy or restore Pro, by talking to the App Store or Google Play; and
  • check whether a newer version is available (Android only).

Neither of those sends us anything about your studying, and neither is used to build a profile of you.

Children

LetsReview is made for adults preparing for the LET. It is not aimed at children under 13, and since it collects nothing from anyone, it collects nothing from them either.

What you can do

There is no account to close and no file of yours on our side to request or delete. You are in charge of everything:

  • Erase it all: uninstall the app. Your progress goes with it.
  • Stop reminders: clear the reminder time in the app, or turn off its notifications in your phone settings.
  • Delete an email you sent us: just ask.

The Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) gives you rights over your personal information, and similar laws apply elsewhere. If you think we hold something of yours, write to us and we will sort it out.

Other companies

We do not sell, rent or share your information — we do not have it to share. The only other companies involved are Apple and Google, who distribute the app and take the payment.

If this policy changes

If a future version of LetsReview ever starts collecting something — ads, crash reports, usage statistics — we will update this page before that version is released, change the date at the top, and say so in the app’s update notes. We would rather tell you than have you find out.
